Chan Camp is a documentary short film about a high school girls soccer camp in Brookline, Massachusetts. Chan MacVeagh started this challenging camp 18 years ago, to protect the girls from injury, and improve their game. While training at the camp, the girls develop as soccer players, but over the years, Chan has noticed an incredible side effect. By working and training hard together, the encouraging environment changes the girls. They emerge at the end of the summer as stronger young women, who feel empowered and self-assured. In a time when we see so few stories highlighting young women’s camaraderie and support, the story of Chan Camp is full of hope.
